dart OCM is a browser based order communications solution, designed specifically to meet the needs of both individual users and hospital enterprises.

Accessed through the web browser, it can be used for hospital-to-hospital ordering and order communications, both in the hospital and at primary care level for radiology and pathology. Furthermore, due to the open source architecture it can be easily adapted to meet future requirements.

Our solution enables users to easily input:

• Patient information validated against a master index of choice
• Clinical information both coded and free text
• Clinical tests based on the coding tables of the hospital whilst delivering appropriate patient advice

Users can check on the progress of current tests, and links to results reporting systems can be configured, so that when a primary care clinician makes a request, dart OCM checks if the same test has been conducted on that patient within a particular timeframe. This provides a valuable opportunity within pathology and radiology to manage demand.
